To find links to the results, click here. (The results are divided by branch, according to our previous organizational structure.) While results in some areas of leadership — Building Community, Valuing People and Providing Leadership — were positive, the results showed other areas that need improvement. In particular, three areas where we’re deficient jump out: Display Authenticity; Share Leadership; and Develop People.
Improvement in these areas goes to our core values. For the coming year, we want to:
- Display Authenticity - By integrity and trust, openness and accountability and a willingness to learn from others.
- Share Leadership - By creating a shared vision and sharing decision-making power, status and privilege at all levels of the organization.
- Develop People - By providing opportunities for learning, modeling appropriate behavior and building up others through encouragement.
That’s a brief synopsis of our plan. You’ll be hearing more about it as the year progresses. I encourage you to look over the results of the survey. If you have any questions, suggestions or remarks, feel free to post them here. I’ll respond as best as I can.
